About Pierre Calmelet :
After extensive musical studies (piano, writing, analysis, singing), Pierre CALMELET obtained a diploma in Choral Conducting at the Geneva Conservatory of Music, then a first prize in Orchestral Conducting at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
A renowned choral and orchestral conductor (conductor of the Madrigal de Paris), Pierre CALMELET is regularly called upon to teach choral conducting, notably at the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs de Musique et de Danse de Paris et de Lyon, the Conservatoires à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt, Nantes, Rennes. He has been entrusted on several occasions with the preparation of the C.A. and D.E. of Choral Singing.
He is the creator of numerous works including the Requiem Mass opus 54 (published among other titles by Editions À Cœur Joie).
