This piece is built on one hand on tight harmonies, obtained by using voices of the same register, and the use of the beginning of the text, only the first two verses; on the other hand on the opposition of colors, some created by the counterpoint, sometimes by the harmonic work.
Ave verum corpus natum de Maria Virgine
Vere passum, immolatum in cruce pro homine

Hail, true body born of the Virgin Mary
Who really suffered and was immolated on the cross for the sake of humanity.
