This is a collection of twenty secular and sacred pieces by Josquin Desprez intended for mixed choirs from two to six voices. As the major part of these songs are arranged for standard mixed choirs (SATB), very amateur choir can enjoy the musical genius of the greatest composer of that time.
The musical interest of each song is explained through a detailed introduction which enhances the tribute paid to Josquin Desprez. He was named the “Prince of Musicians” and the “Emperor of Singers” by his contemporaries.
