Michel Fugain created Big Bazar in 1972, which was a band of eleven musicians and fifteen other people (they were up to thirty-five in tour). Songs like “Fais comme l’oiseau”, “Une belle histoire”, “La fête” and this one; “Chante comme si tu devais mourir demain” were created during this creative period. In 1976, Michel Fugain quit the band, and then, they split a few years later. In 1977, he created “Compagnie Michel Fugain”, and Roland Magdane joined them. In 1979, he founded a work group for the young artists learning at the Studios de la Victorine, Nice, which Mimi Mathy was part of. He sang the song “Viva la Vida” for his comeback in 1988. Patrick Darniche made an accessible 3-part mixed voice arrangement which can be performed by any choir, even beginners.
