Georges Aloy love Lyon and Beaujolais, his homeland. As a professional musician and a regionalist, he compiled, arranged and orchestrated many songs and melodies about Lyon, countryside and vine. He also set to music the poems of the collection “Regards obliques sur la ville” by Jean Vuaillat. The structure of this song is simple in order to be memorized easily and staged quickly. Georges Aloy teaches harmony and counterpoint at Conservatoire National de Région de Lyon. He trains many young students to notation and music devices. He was also an organist. He worked at the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière for 13 years. He wrote many accompaniments and preludes for organs. He wrote a Magnificat intended to be sung for soloists and mixed choirs accompanied by string orchestras, trumpets and organs.
