Cotton needs a pickin'

This is a Black American work song which music is very simple. Verses’ melody is performed by some sopranos, baritones or by some of them.
Pierre Calmelet won the 1st prize for conducting at the Conservatoire de Paris. He taught lyric art in Opéra de Lyon and was also Michel Corboz’s assistant. He is a lecturer at Conservatoire de Paris and conducts "Le Madrigal de Paris" choir.
