Melchor Robledo was a Spanish composer. He was a Kapellmeister in Tarragona then in Zaragoza after being in Roma. His music was imitated a lot in Mexico. This sacred sheet music was published for the first time in the 19th century by Hilarion Eslava in an anthology of Spanish church music. This is the only document about this composition. The text is similar to Palestrina’s and Vittoria’s.
