These seven traditional songs arranged (version with four mixed voices) by Manuel COLEY present a true work of rereading and "modernization" of this musical genre.
The composer is not satisfied with harmonizing, but he mixes body percussion voices, he skillfully uses the bumblebees specific to this music and offers us a resolutely contemporary reading of these songs.

About Manuel Coley:

Manuel COLEY defines himself as a "craftsman-musician", he is a state-qualified choral conductor and composer.
In charge of courses in choral conducting at the university and then at the CFMI of Poitiers and in various large professional training structures, he refocuses his artistic and pedagogical activity around the project "Voie d'enfance", at the Abbaye aux Dames de Saintes.
This project is dedicated to the development of children's collective vocal practices, pedagogical experimentation and the creation of repertoire for children's choirs, as well as research into new forms of performance, notably with the ICILABA choir.
