Fête à Vaux-le-Vicomte, piece for mixed choir and piano by Patrice Bernard from a letter of Jean de La Fontaine :
For this creation, the composer did not turn to a Fable, the text is extracted from the letter sent to his friend Monsieur de MAUCROIX to narrate this fabulous evening at the castle of Vaux-le-Vicomte in August 1661.
This party earned Nicolas FOUQUET (Superintendent of Finances) his disgrace with Louis XIV, then 22 years old.
Composed for 4 mixed voices choirs and piano by Patrice BERNARD (SATB).
