The Children's Crusade is an expedition led by the common people who want to go to the Holy Land to deliver Jerusalem, like the crusades of knights. It was held in 1212 between the Fourth and Fifth Crusades and consisted of two processions leaving simultaneously from Germany and France. They were rather the "Children of God" (pueri) because historians have no proof that the children actually took part in this expedition.

Jean GOLGEVIT has made an adaptation of it for 3 mixed voices, accessible by even inexperienced choirs.
