This score is for a soloist who accompanies a choir with 2 equal voices. The solo section can be performed by a small group because it is very easy and melodic. “Au zoo des Seize” is a line of 16 poems written by the Swiss Emile Gardaz and put it to music for the 16 choristers of the XVI Choir of Fribourg. This choir won the First Prize of the competition of the choral festivals de Tours (1978), of Arezzo (1978), Vienna (1989) and is conducted by the composer André Ducret. He was born in Fribourg (Switzerland) in 1945 where he started music with de Pierre Kaelin, Michel Corboz, Jean Balissat, Eric Ericson. He regularly conducts the Chamber orchestra of Lausanne and the Romandy Orchestra. From 1989 to 1992, he conducted the professional choir of the Swiss-Italian Radio.
