“La nuit des bergers” is the second part of the Christmas trilogy. It can be performed by narrators, soloists and three or four unaccompanied mixed voice choirs.
The text is based on the Gospel of Luke and anonymous texts from the middle ages. The songs are traditional carols. It is intended to be performed without instruments, but you can add recorders and dub voices.
The story begins with the Annunciation of Gabriel to Mary and ends with the joyful shepherds leaving the crèche.
It approximately lasts 50 minutes.
