This is a musical tale based on “Lettres de mon Moulin” written by Alphonse Daudet. It is intended to be performed by single voice or two equal voices choirs, narrators, fifes, string instruments or pianos. It can be staging starring a narrator, the fife-player Frencet Mamaï, Maître Cornille, Maître Cornille’s granddaughter Vivette, Vivette’s fiancé and Frencet Mamaï’s son Gaspard, and the villagers’ choir. The writing is accessible to young students from conservatories or music schools.
