Edgar Cosma, born in Bucharest in 1925, moved to Paris in 1960. As a guest conductor, he has led numerous concerts throughout the world. He conducted the Romanian Cinematography Orchestra (1951 - 1959), the Ulster Orchestra in Belfast (1969 - 1974) and the Orchestre Nord-Picardie de l'O.R.T.F. in Lille (1973 - 1975). He is Vladimir Cosma's uncle.
