Around the world in 80 days, a story inspired by the novel by Jules VERNE, by Vincent Gerboullet for equal voices choir
:
hiléas Fogg, a rich London gentleman, bets half of his fortune that he will go around the world in 80 days. In 1872, this is an almost impossible challenge. He sets off on a frantic race, accompanied by his servant, the devoted Passepartout.
The whole story, inspired by the famous novel by Jules VERNE, was conceived by Vincent GERBOULLET not as an opera or a musical tale for children's choir, but as a musical comedy in various styles: Blues, variety, "Broadway" style songs, jazz, funk or romantic ballad.

About Vincent Gerboullet:
Vincent Gerboullet began studying piano at the Bourgoin-Jallieu Conservatory of Music and obtained his Diploma of Musical Studies in 2000, while studying writing and musical training at the CRR of Lyon and the CNSMD of Lyon. He is also a composer, arranger, choral conductor (notably within the association À Coeur Joie) and pianist for various vocal ensembles. His musical tales: "La légende du roi Arthur" and "Le tour du monde en 80 jours", opera and musical comedy for children's choir are published by Éditions À Coeur Joie.
