This new arrangement of the great classic Requiem by Camille Saint-Saëns was written with small ensembles in mind, who cannot access this masterpiece due to the very large number of musicians required, without however distorting the original version.
Pierre Calmelet wrote this arrangement for double SATB choir, soloists, string quintet, flute, oboe, horn in F, bassoon, harp and of course organ.

After extensive musical studies (piano, writing, analysis, singing), Pierre CALMELET obtained a diploma in Choral Conducting at the Geneva Conservatory of Music, then a first prize in Orchestral Conducting at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
A renowned choral and orchestral conductor (conductor of the Madrigal de Paris), Pierre CALMELET is regularly called upon to teach choral conducting, notably at the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs de Musique et de Danse de Paris et de Lyon, the Conservatoires à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt, Nantes, Rennes. He has been entrusted on several occasions with the preparation of the C.A. and D.E. of Choral Singing.
