These are two popular songs from Romania. They are very simple and can be performed for every occasion. For example “Multi ani” is intended to be sung by heart and on a vigorous beat. You can perform it either after a concert or for a one last song for a choral gathering. Lucien Niresteanu was born in 1947 in Blaj, central Transylvania. He studied at Gheorghe Dima Music Academy, Cluj-Napoca. He teaches music theory and harmony at Transilvania University of Bra?ov and has an important composing activity rewarded with numerous prizes. He is a part of the ASTRA choir association of Bra?ov as a performer, a pianist, an assistant conductor and artistic advisor.
