This song is based on “Romancero de Champagne.” It was adapted and arranged by Bernard Lallement. The melody is very famous but better known as “Noël des Enseignes” of which a short version is published on page 2. Chanoine Nioullon suggested some verses which first notes are “Dans la nuit froide et sombre.” Thanks to this short sheet music, you can suggest several texts.
