Poésies enchantées, 18 poems set to music by Michèle BERNARD and orchestrated by Jean-Luc MICHEL, for choir of 1 to 3 equal voices of children, teenagers or adults, either with orchestra or piano:

"(...) Michèle Bernard makes a doubly creative choice: on the one hand, she goes off the beaten track by bringing together 16 authors, the oldest of whom are Francis Jammes or Jean Richepin. She discarded the nursery rhymes, the folkloric rounds, the refrains of the inheritance to the profit of works written during the XXth century by authors attentive to the popular forms but working to their renewal (Robert Desnos, Jacques Prévert...) (...)
On the other hand, Michèle Bernard proposes refined musical compositions, in which the choirs have a very important place, exploring as well the playful register as the one of the gravity.the orchestrations (except for the last title) are due to Jean-Luc Michel who signs there a work of goldsmith.
Such a literary and musical richness is to be shared urgently, young and old together. »

About Michèle BERNARD :

"Accompanying herself on accordion or piano, Michèle Bernard released her first album "Le kiosque" in 1978 and won the Prix de l'Académie Charles Cros. Crowned "Revelation at the Printemps de Bourges", she introduces a new dimension, between jazz and java, tradition and actuality, in the realist song; and, on the occasion of her first performance at the Olympia, the press does not hesitate to see in her the worthy descendant of Fréhel.
A poignant and, to say the least, exceptional performer, her generous, often intimate, but also political writing in the broadest - and therefore noblest - sense of the term, revives a popular song of great quality, whose main characteristics are humor, tenderness and a rebellious lucidity.
